Keeping Our Campus Informed and Safe
When a situation threatens campus safety or operations, Southeastern Community College issues a Rams Alert to keep our community informed. Depending on the severity and type of threat, alerts may be sent through multiple communication channels including email, text message, campus digital screen takeovers, social media, and the SCC website. Using a variety of methods ensures we reach the widest number of people as quickly as possible during an emergency.
SCC uses Singlewire, a trusted, multi-platform notification system, to deliver these alerts. Singlewire allows the College to send messages through email, SMS/text, voice, and digital signage. This system integrates with SCC’s internal platforms to ensure messages go out quickly and accurately when time matters most.
We strongly encourage currently enrolled students and employees not to opt out of text messaging. Text alerts are one of the fastest ways to receive emergency notifications, and opting out means you will not be notified if a threat occurs.
To ensure you receive Rams Alerts without interruption, please keep your contact information updated through the Registrar’s Office. Accurate information helps us reach you when it matters most.
SCC remains committed to keeping our campus safe, informed, and connected.
