Employees who do not earn annual leave may take up to two paid personal leave days per semester (fall and spring) for essential purposes not covered by other sources of leave (e.g., sick leave). Paid personal leave of more than two days per semester is generally left without pay and must be approved by the president upon recommendation by the employee’s supervisor(s) and vice president.
1. Leave requests must be in writing and submitted one week in advance of the requested time off.
2. Leave requests are subject to the approval of the employee’s vice president upon recommendation by the employee’s Dean or supervisor(s).
3. Personal leave time must occur in full-day increments and will not be permitted on an hourly basis.
4. Personal leave will not be carried over from semester to semester or year to year.
