An employee who receives the notification of their civic responsibility to serve on jury duty is expected to inform their supervisor and the vice president immediately. When an employee serves on jury duty, he/she is entitled to leave with pay plus fees received for jury duty service for the period of absence required. Jury Duty is not charged against employees’ annual leave. An employee attending court or an administrative hearing in connection with his/her official duties shall be granted leave with pay for the period of required absence. An employee serving in the above capacities must report to work for all or part of his/her workday that he/she is not actually engaged in judicial proceedings or required to be in attendance.
