Workforce Training on the Road with New Mobile Unit

Tuesday, July 19th, 2022

Southeastern Community College is taking workforce training on the road beginning Fall 2022!

The new mobile unit is equipped with high tech training equipment in programs like HVAC, Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering Technology. “As we focus on the successful implementation of this mobile unit, we depend upon our partnerships with Columbus County Schools and Whiteville City Schools,” said Dean Angela Ransom. “We see this unit as an extension of the technical training being provided by each of these partners.”

“This is huge for Columbus County,” said Dr. Chris English. “This mobile unit is another way SCC is breaking down barriers so students can train for great jobs wherever they are located in the county.”
