“We’re excited about having our mobile training equipment in each part of our community,” said Angie Ransom, Dean of Business Careers and Technical Programs. “In the fall, we expect to have the trailer at each of the high schools in the area. This is our way of connecting with parents and students and letting them know about the cool equipment we will have in the fall semester.”

With the mobile lab making stops around Columbus County, Ransom explained that this is another opportunity to educate the public about the mobile lab’s ability to “take that training wherever it’s needed.” Ransom said one of the main goals of the workforce training lab is exposure to some of SCC’s many programs on campus.

“The beauty of College and Career Promise courses is that you don’t have to know what you want to study,” Ransom said. “You can try it on with the understanding that you don’t have to have it figured out.”

At these stops around the county, Ransom said that people can register to learn more information about classes and a chance to win an iPad.
