SCC Summer Camps and Summer Experience Announced

Southeastern Community College has announced 2023 Summer Camps and Summer Experience for high school students. The college is excited to partner with Columbus County Schools to provide fantastic summer experiences for students that will accelerate their learning in a fun and engaging environment.

SUMMER CAMPS 

Summer Camps will begin on June 26.

Summer Camps are an excellent opportunity for students to gain hands-on industry skills in career technical fields, public safety, and healthcare. Summer Camps will allow students to explore the many career opportunities in Columbus County while earning industry-recognized credentials and college credit. 

Options Include:  

  • Agriculture 
  • Automotive 
  • Construction 
  • Engineering 
  • Fire Academy
  • Nurse Aide 
  • Welding 

SUMMER EXPERIENCE 

Summer Experience options will begin June 26.

The Summer Experience is perfect for students interested in transferring to a university. Summer Experience lets students try college life with 5-week accelerated classes that allow them to earn college credit and get a head start on their future career goals. Summer Experience students will take field trips to North Carolina college and university campuses to learn more about the programs offered at each institution and to learn how their SCC college classes will transfer into their program of choice. And Classes are hybrid, so students can still enjoy their summer while being productive.

  • Teacher Preparation 
  • Early Childhood Education 
  • University Transfer Pathway 

*Columbus County High School Students – Columbus County Schools will be providing free meals and transportation for all Columbus County School students.

*Although Columbus County Schools provides free camps, meals, and transportation, ALL high school students are welcome to attend.
