On Wednesday, August 10, 2022, an agreement was signed between Southeastern Community College (SCC) and the North Carolina Agricultural & Technical University (NCA&T). The agreement guarantees admission for Agribusiness Technology students into NCA&T.

SCC President Dr. Chris English and NCA&T Dean, Dr. Antione Alston signed the agreement.

“This represents a key pathway for students to start at SCC and finish at NCA&T,” said Dr. Chris English.

SCC students who fulfill the following criteria will be guaranteed admission into the Agribusiness Technology program at NCA&T:

The colleges agree that a graduate of SCC with an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Agribusiness Technology with at least a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 based on a 4.0 scale will be admitted to N.C. A&T provided all other admissions conditions are satisfied. In order to be considered for admissions in accordance with this Articulation Agreement, SCC students must submit an official transcript that indicates AAS Degree completion.

“We are excited about this transfer agreement,” shared Dr. Chris English, President. “This is important for our students as they look for next step transfer options after graduating from SCC and many have asked about opportunities at NCA&T.”
