Brooks Motors & Controls Lab Dedication Ceremony

Friday, September 2nd, 2022

On Friday, August 26, 2022, the Brooks Motors & Controls Lab at SCC was dedicated in memory of former SCC Foundation Director and Fund Drive chairman, William D. Brooks.  More than 75 friends and family, along with SCC trustees, faculty, staff and students, gathered to hear about Mr. Brooks and his dedication to SCC and his love for education.

Angela Ransom, Dean of Careers & Technical Training, shared the significance of the equipment that was donated and the difference it would make for students to gain hands on experience.

The goal of the Brooks family is to add additional equipment to the lab through this fund in memory of Mr. Brooks.

Contributions to the Brooks Motors & Controls Lab may be made by contacting Terrie Priest, Director of the SCC Foundation at 910-642-7141 x320, or visit sccnc.edu/give.
