Brenden Jones Appointed as New Trustee

At the July Southeastern Community College Board of Trustees Meeting, new Governor Pat McCrory trustee appointment Brenden Jones was sworn in by Columbus County Clerk of Court Jess Hill.

Jones is a small business owner from Tabor City. He is married to Angela and they have two daughters, Savannah-Grace and Ella.

Also at the July meeting, reappointed members Theresa Blanks and Joe Hooks were sworn in.

Blanks is a Columbus County Commissioners’ appointee and has served on the board since 2007. Her term will expire in 2019.

Hooks is a Whiteville City Schools’ appointee and has served on the board since 2011. His term will expire in 2019.
