Student Ambassador Program

The SCC Ambassador program is an honorary group of students who have been nominated for selection based on their academic performance.

History

The Ambassador program has been active at SCC since 1989 and its focus is on enhancing student leadership. Ambassadors provide a variety of services on campus and in the community.

Responsibilities

They serve as tour guides on campus as needed, assist with registration and orientation, welcome groups to campus, and assist at community events.

Applicant Requirements

Students have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible. The process for selection includes an application process, letters of recommendation from SCC faculty and staff, and an interview.

Essay Requirements

lease submit an essay and answer each of the following questions.

1. Biography about yourself.
2. List ALL special awards, community service, talents, hobbies, and interests.
3. Why did you decide on your program of study?
4. What are your plans after graduation?
5. Why would you be an effective Ambassador?
6. What one thing would you like the Ambassador Advisors to know about you? OR If you are a current Ambassador, why are you seeking to reapply to the program?Do you have any fundraising experience? If so, please provide information detailing your experiences.
