Invasive Species Management Strategies (IVS-210)

Course Description

This course is designed to provide an overview of the strategies that are used to combat the spread of invasive species. Topics include foreign pest prevention; port of entry exclusion; early detection including survey, containment, and eradication; control methods, interagency partnerships, and outreach/public awareness. Upon completion, students should be to outline the approaches used to combat invasive species and analyze the effectiveness of local control efforts.
