Invasive Species Management Programs (IVS-211)

Course Description

This course is designed to provide an overview of the federal, state, local, and private programs designed to combat invasive species. Emphasis is placed on foreign pest exclusion ordinances and regulations, land management programs, private conservation, organizations, and interagency committees. Upon completion, students should be able to identify programs in force in their local area and the steps that are being taken to control invasive species.
