Being part of the General Education curriculum, this program is intended to bolster the ability of students to effectively gather, assimilate, process and disseminate information. Successful demonstration of these skills indicates that students are able to read, write and speak at the collegiate level. Students must complete a certain number of credits within the communications curricula in order to successfully meet general education standards.

The Associate in General Education curriculum is designed for the academic enrichment of students who wish to broaden their education, with emphasis on personal interest, growth and development. Coursework includes study in the areas of humanities and fine arts, social and behavioral sciences, natural sciences and mathematics and english composition.

Students are encouraged to contact their advisor to ensure the proper completion of all general education curriculum, as well as plan their coursework for their desired degree or certification program.
