Club Trio is sponsored by the Educational Talent Search, which serves 850 students in Columbus County and Whiteville City Schools. 
The free program offers supportive services which include tutoring and mentoring; personal, career, academic, and financial literacy counseling; exposure to college campuses and cultural enrichment activities; and assistance with college entrance exam preparation, financial aid and college admissions applications to high school students.
When the high school students enroll at SCC, they can join Club Trio and continue to receive the supportive services from the Educational Talent Search staff while participating in campus and community events. 
The club conducts community and campus service projects. This past year members collected items for a residents of a local nursing home. Club members also served as chaperones on Educational Talent Search’s school group to New York City.
