Presented in the style of the variety shows of yesteryear, this moving production commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Freedom Riders, a group of civil rights activists who challenged segregation in the American South. This celebration of bravery brings to the stage powerful oral histories and conversations from the Freedom Rides' most iconic protagonists and antagonists.
This project was supported by the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources.
