North Carolina Information Highway
EDU-Cable facilitates the North Carolina Information Highway (NCIH). This two-way interactive video conference room allows the college to offer training without the expense of travel or the cost of hiring an instructor to teach one class. With the current state of economy, this site is being utilized regularly. Other organizations and universities, such as Fayetteville State University and Blue Ridge Community College, also are using the NCIH at Southeastern Community College.
Live Projects
EDU-Cable, in conjunction with the Broadcasting and Production Technology program, is able – based on availability – to video events and programs throughout Columbus County at cost.
EDU-Cable has already performed this new service for local churches and the Columbus Regional Healthcare System.
Training Videos
EDU-Cable produces training videos for local business and industry.
Community Bulletin Board
In addition to the Community Bulletin Board operated by Time Warner Cable, EDU-Cable offers a Community Bulletin Board feature. The public is encouraged to submit information about community events to ahilburn@sccnc.edu. This Bulletin Board runs periodically throughout EDU-Cable's daily schedule.
