Definition
Ethical behavior is a set of principles of right conduct that govern individuals in their interactions and decisions in civic, social, academic, and professional lives. Awareness is an indication that individuals have been appropriately introduced to ethical standards. Demonstration indicates that students can apply ethical principles to a given set of circumstances.
Ethical Awareness assesses student understanding in the following categories:
- Application of ethical principles to a given set of circumstances
- Identification of ethical problem
- Identification of relevant facts in the situation
- Identification of different views on the problem
- Reasonable solution offered
